50 Cent Hosts Starz Power Book II: Ghost Hamptons Premiere Drive-In Event

50 Cent at STARZ “Power Book II: Ghost” Premiere Drive-In Screening Event

The stars were aligned over the holiday weekend to celebrate the highly anticipated series premiere of “Power Book II: Ghost” with a drive-in screening in the Hamptons. 

Executive producer and creative force behind the “Power” Universe franchise, Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson hosted invited celebrity guests at TV journalist Jill Rappaport’s horse farm in the exclusive Hamptons neighborhood in Water Mill, New York. As COVID-19 health concerns continue to loom, social distancing orders were in place requiring drivers to pull up in their cars in front of a large screen for the exclusive airing of the first episode. Guests were served car-side with items like lobster rolls, mini pizzas, homemade sea salt popcorn, s'mores in a jar, rose champagne frozé and bottled margaritas.

Master P Teams Up With Bet On New Docuseries ‘No Limit Chronicles’

Fresh off walking away from the reality show he created - Growing Up Hip-Hop, Master P teams up with BET on a new docu-series 'No Limit Chronicles' which depicts the story behind No Limit Records. 

The five-part docuseries will recount the remarkable journey of the label, from its extraordinary rise to decline and rebirth to prominence. The series features candid sit-down interviews from No Limit insiders like Master P, Romeo Miller, Snoop Dogg, Silkk The Shocker, Mia X, Mystikal, Fiend and Mr. Serv-On, in tandem with rare archival footage and dramatic recreations of pivotal events. Viewers will get an in-depth look into the saga of this iconic entity which hasn’t been told definitively, until now.

The Oprah Winfrey Charitable Foundation Announces $12 Million Covid-19 Relief Fund

The Oprah Winfrey Charitable Foundation announced today the newest grant recipients of Oprah Winfrey’s $12 million COVID-19 Relief Fund. The $12 million in grants support organizations in Oprah’s “home cities” of Nashville, Chicago, Milwaukee, Baltimore and Kosciusko, Mississippi that are helping underserved communities currently experiencing a disproportionate impact from the pandemic. Winfrey previously announced she was giving $10 million to help those affected by the pandemic and has committed an additional $2 million in support, bringing the total figure to date to $12 million.

Grammy Award-winning Q Parker Releases New Single "I Need You"

GRAMMY Award-winning singer/songwriter Q Parker releases his new single "I Need You" from his forthcoming album, The Bridge Project: Brothers United. The track serves as the forthcoming album's second single, coming in right behind its lead single "Made For" featuring Q Parker, Avery Wilson, Deitrick Haddon, and Eric Dawkins. In light of the current political state of unrest, “I Need You” champions unity, humanity, community and brotherhood. The Bridge Project: Brothers United, a musical and visual project with a goal of unity, cultural advancement which bridges the gap in genres of mainstream and gospel, is slated for a fourth quarter 2020 release.

The Roots Partners With Michelle Obama’s When We All Vote for Virtual Festival Experience

This year, in partnership with Michelle Obama’s national, nonpartisan nonprofit organization, When We All Vote, The Roots are launching the 13th Annual Roots Picnic as a virtual broadcast experience on Saturday, June 27th, exclusively on YouTube. The event is Executive Produced by Shawn Gee (Live Nation Urban), Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson and Tarik Trotter (Two One Five Entertainment) and Dan Parise (DPS).
