Billionaire Film Maker Tyler Perry continues his philanthropic initiative in the metro Atlanta area feeding Thousands of families in need just in time for thanksgiving.
Tyler Perry Studios hosted its #TPSGiving food giveaway where volunteers in protective equipment were handing out boxes of non-perishable food items that included canned vegetables, thanksgiving trimmings and $25 gift cards for 5,000 families to drive through and pick up. The studio reportedly were out of food boxes by 10 a.m. but accommodated those additional families with a $50 voucher as many families are particularly struggling this year, as the pandemic has led to massive job losses.
“Although we wish that we could feed everyone in need, we will close the line at the 5,000th family.” the official Tyler Perry Studios account tweeted.
In April, Perry left a $500 tip for every single out-of-work server at the restaurant Houston’s in the city of Atlanta. He also paid for groceries for shoppers during the senior hour at 44 Kroger supermarkets in Atlanta as well as 29 Winn-Dixies in his hometown of New Orleans.
In September of this year, Forbes Magazine reported that Mr. Perry earned more than $1.4 billion since 2005, building a fortune that included his homes, planes, and mega production studio TPS in the heart of Atlanta Georgia.
